Accumulators

How Accumulators Work

An accumulator combines several selections into one bet. Here is how the maths works.

By BettingScout · 7 August 2026

An accumulator (or acca) is a single bet made up of several selections. Every selection must win for the bet to pay out.

How the odds are calculated

Decimal odds for each selection are multiplied together. Three selections at 1.80, 1.70 and 1.50 give total odds of 4.59.

Why price comparison matters

Small differences on each selection compound across an accumulator, so the same bet can return noticeably more with one bookmaker than another. Better odds increase your potential payout if the bet wins. They do not change whether your selections win.
