Decimal vs Fractional Odds

The two formats used in the UK, and how to convert between them.

Fractional odds show profit relative to stake. Decimal odds show the total return including your stake.

Converting

Decimal = (numerator / denominator) + 1. So 5/2 becomes 3.50.
